Welcome to the ND AAMR Webpage!

Welcome!  The North Dakota Chapter (NDAAMR) is part of the AAMR Assembly of Regional Interests.  The chapter is a way to bring people with common concerns and interests together across the state of North Dakota.

North Dakota is somewhat distinguished in itıs service delivery as all service providers are required by ND Century Code (state law) to meet accreditation standards.  Accreditation review is provided by the Council on Quality and Leadership (CQL) and statewide services have been fully accredited since 1989.

Information-related Website LINKS

PSYCH-DD Listserv - To Join   Click on this link to JOIN the Psych-DD listserv.  The Psych-DD listserv is the official open discussion list of the AAMR Psychology Division and AAMR Mental Health Services Special Interest Group (MHS SIG).  An e-mail discussion list is an e-place (psych-dd@listserv.nodak.edu) that you can send a comment to, and it distributes it to every member of the list.  You also receive the e-mail that others send to the list.  This is a SERVICE of AAMR, but you DO NOT need to be an AAMR Member to join this list.

PSYCH-DD Archives - Search   Click on this link to look at PAST DISCUSSIONS of the Psych-DD listserv.  The Archives contain the past discussions by month, but they can be searched in a variety of ways (e.g., topic, author, etc.).  Review past discussions for specific information or to get a "feel" for the nature of the list.  The Psych-DD listserv was started in the fall of 1995 through the University of North Dakota.

GOALS

The primary goal of the ND Chapter of AAMR is to meet members needs.  Communication to and among members is a high priority, made easier through the opportunities of the internet.  Using that communication, the ND Chapter of AAMR seeks to access the strengths that come from connections between consumers, practitioners, policy makers, and researchers.

Members automatically belong to the NDAAMR listserv for information from AAMR.  Non-Members and Members are encouraged to join the Psych-DD listserv (below), which is an open membership listserv where everyone can talk to each other!

Further goals are to develop a stronger North Dakota community for all residents of the state, and welcoming to newcomers.  There is always room for involvement, a little or a lot, so contact us for more information!
