Author Ruth Luckasson appointed member of group working on ICD-10 revision

Author Ruth Luckasson has been appointed member of "The Working Group on the Classification of Intellectual Disability", reporting to the WHO International Advisory Group for the Revision of ICD-10 Mental and Behavioural Disorders." The ICD reports and categorize diseases, health-related conditions and external causes of disease and injury in order to compile useful health information related to deaths, illness and injury (mortality and morbidity).

The Working Group is meeting in Geneva in May 2010 to begin to review and
evaluate scientific evidence and clinical information relevant to terminology, definition, classification and other aspects of Intellectual Disability in the revision of ICD-10.
