Shaping Our Destiny

Available in downloadable format only, AAMR has published a two-booklet set entitled "Shaping Our Destiny". The consumer's guide outlines how people with developmental disabilities and their families can advocate for and evaluate quality services. The provider's guide details how service providers can provide quality supports that keep consumers' needs a priority.

Though the printed version is out of print, AAMR wants to make the publications as available as possible. So, we are making the text available to you on the web in both HTML (web format) and plain ASCII text format (very little formatting).

TO COPY THE TEXT FROM THE WEB PAGE

WINDOWS - Click the right mouse button on the text to select the entire text, then press Control C (to copy). Paste into a word processor to edit.

MACINTOSH - Click Control A or Apple A to select the entire text; then press Control C (to copy the text). Paste into a word processor to edit.
