ALS Association - is the only national not-for-profit voluntary health organization dedicated solely to the fight against amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (often called Lou Gehrig's disease).

AAPD - American Association of People with Disabilities

Autism Society of America - Serving the needs of individuals with autism and their families through advocacy, education, public awareness, and research.

Bazelon Center for Mental Health Law - a nonprofit legal advocacy organization.

Birth Defects Research for Children- We provide comprehensive fact sheets about birth defects, as well as other information.

CARF - Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities - An internationally recognized accreditation authority for organizations serving people with disabilities and others in need of rehabilitation.

The Council for Disability Rights - Advancing rights and enhancing lives of people with disabilities.

The Council on Quality and Leadership - The Council on Quality and Leadership provides world-wide leadership for greater accountability, responsiveness, and quality performance in human and social organizations and systems.

Epilepsy Foundation - Dedicated to the welfare of people with epilepsy.

International Rett Syndrome Association - Fact sheets, information and support.

Multiple Sclerosis Foundation - Multiple Sclerosis Foundation provides support services free of charge throughout the country for all people with an interest in or diagnosed with MS.

NAMI - National Alliance on Mental Illness

NAPCSE - The National Association of Parents with Children in Special Education (NAPCSE) dedicated to ensuring that all children and adolescents with special needs receive the best education possible. NAPCSE serves the interest of parents with children in special education by giving them numerous resources within the field of special education. 

National Council on Independent Living - advocates for the human rights of, and services for, people with disabilities to further their full integration and participation in society.

National Fragile X Foundation - A comprehensive site, dedicate to information and resources pertaining to fragile X Syndrome.

National Disabilities Rights Network -  An Association that represents federally mandated programs that protect the rights of persons with disabilities.

National Institute of Disability Management and Research- The National Institute of Disability Management and Research is committed to reducing the human, social and economic cost of disability to workers, employers and society through education, training and research.

National Mental Health Association - A nonprofit organization addressing all aspects of mental health and mental illness.

Techsoup.org - is itself a 501(c)3 nonprofit making software donations exclusively to other nonprofits from 42 major technology providers, including Microsoft, Cisco, Symantec, Intuit, Adobe and Sun (for an administrative fee which is usually 5% of retail cost).
