EHI held a session on the Mind, Disrupted Biomonitoring Project on Tuesday June 8.  Speakers included Laura Abulafia, Joseph P. Meadours, Robert Fletcher.

The Environmental Health Initiative (EHI) of AAIDD joined a broad coalition of more than 200 public health and environmental organizations, called Safer Chemicals, Healthy Families, to announce its support for the newly introduced “Safe Chemicals Act of 2010”.  The Senate bill was introduced on April 15 by Senator Lautenberg, and Congressmen Waxman and Rush released a discussion draft of legislation. The long-awaited, landmark legislation would overhaul the way the federal government protects the public from toxic chemicals. Learn More.

EHI and the Learning and Developmental Disabilities Initiative (LDDI) hosted a briefing on the Biomonitoring Project. For Congressional staff and members at noon at the Cannon Caucus Room  (The Cannon House Office Building is the one closest to the Capital South metro stop on the blue line.  It is a large room and the guards can direct you to it).
